New York Based Urban Health Plan, (UHP) Inc., the tenth largest provider of out-parent healthcare services to New York City residents, retained the program and project management services of DENYSYS to provide technology guidance as the facility moved into a newly constructed 35,000 sq/ft headquarter facility. The new facility became the hub facility of the provider’s 4 satellite clinics. In addition to its satellite clients, the provider is also under contract with New York City to provide onsite healthcare services to the public schools the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. The provider and its satellite see over 130,000 unique patient visits annually. The healthcare environment in which it operates is one of fix reimbursements for payers and a high percent of uninsured patients. We assisted UHP’s management team in creating and executing a multi year information technology strategic plan for development and operations of the main UNP facility, satellite facilities, and, several school based health clinics. We structured and facilitated the working sessions required for the management team to come to consensus on the organization’s information technology infrastructure to meet the organization’s future needs. The project also included the evaluation and acquisition of the strategic plan’s technology components.
